Where is QREX held?

QREX is held in Central Queensland, Australia.
The Trade Fair and Australia Resources Careers Market are held at the Rockhampton Showgrounds Complex, Exhibition Road.
The International Conference will take place at the Pilbeam Theatre, Victoria Parade.
Social events and community celebrations will take place in and around Rockhampton city and Yeppoon.
Industry tours and conferences will take place around Central Queensland, including Gladstone, Blackwater and Biloela.

Why is QREX being held?

QREX is being held to support the Queensland resources industry through the provision of a platform for trade and networking.  It will not only give an opportunity to Rockhampton businesses to display their product and services, but will also showcase Queensland’s resources industry as a whole both nationally and internationally.

QREX also has the objective of providing education on the resources industry, and highlighting the many career opportunities available including opportunities for students and women looking to enter this industry.

Who is QREX for?

QREX will appeal to many.

The Trade Fair is a trade only event and will attract managers, employees, buyers and suppliers from the resources industry.

The Australian Resources Careers Market is open to the general public and will attract primary, secondary and tertiary students and anyone interested in finding employment in the resources sector.

How do I get to Rockhampton?

Rockhampton is located 649km north of Brisbane on the Bruce Highway.  It is a major regional centre for trade and is accessible daily by bus, plane and train.  Please see Getting to Rockhampton for details on how to get to Rockhampton.

When do registrations for QREX open?

2011 dates are still to be finalised.  We invite you to register your interest by please emailing us.  One of our staff will be available to discuss your needs and interests and you will receive regular updates and preferential booking on all events and activities.
