Queensland Resources Council (QRC)

The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) is the peak representative body for minerals and energy sector companies in Queensland.

In 2007-08, the sector produced goods valued at more than $42 billion, and employed - directly and indirectly - more than 260,000 people.

Minerals and energy production is responsible for more than 25 per cent of the direct economic output of regional Queensland.

The QRC represents the interests of 78 full members engaged directly in exploration, mining, minerals processing, oil and gas production and electricity generation, as well as more than 82 service member companies.

QRC is proud to continue its support of QREX in 2009 in showcasing the essence of central Queensland - a vibrant, resource-rich region and centerpiece for continuing technological excellence in minerals and energy production.qrc-logo-rgb3
